Guess Who's Back on Etsy? Cash Color!

Posted by Caitlin Shirock on

Hey there art lovers!

As many of you already know, Cash Color’s origin story is rooted in a request from a mama who was looking for modern artwork for her newborns nursery. She was having trouble finding anything that didn’t scream “baby” while also wanting something that could grow with her newborn. After meeting her at her beautiful, well designed home I knew I wanted to come up with something that was personal to her story, as well as modern and unique enough to fit her style needs.

Personalized for baby. Modern for mama.

That interaction got my creative juices flowing and I started sketching, and voilà! Big bold playful and modern letters, that almost didn’t look like letters, just kept coming to mind. I tested the waters with several other moms and friends of mine to see if they could envision my letters in their nurseries, and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. And the Letters Collection was born. Now, over six years later…mamas across the globe are still loving these letter prints!

From Letters to Canvases

I’ve always been a painter of original art, I just was overwhelmed by the idea of doing it professionally. It didn’t seem realistic. Or maybe I just wasn’t ready. The success of the Letter Collection gave me the courage to believe in myself enough to start selling my original artwork. I’ll always be thankful to those letters for leading me to my abstract, expressive, bold work!

Etsy, We Meet Again!

My relationship with Etsy began 12 years ago. Back then, I was juggling my role as an Apparel Graphic Designer at the Ambercrombie & Fitch Home Office with my passion project on Etsy. After I moved to Nashville, I decided to focus on building my personal website, giving me the creative freedom to establish and nurture the Cash Color brand. So, Etsy and I took a break.

But, times change, and so do platforms. Today, Etsy has transformed into a treasure trove for unique home decor, art, and accessories. It's my personal favorite for finding those special pieces that add character to a space. And guess what? Cash Color is making a comeback on Etsy!

New Original Art Collection: Emotive Hearts
